The story of Libertie jeans
How it all started!
The story of Libertie is the story of freedom. Freedom to do the things you want to do, freedom to think what you want to think, say what you want to say and, most importantly, wear the clothes you want to wear. For us, what you wear is one of the biggest indicators of freedom, and that's why we've created the most comfortable jeans imaginable.
Libertie started in 2022 with the goal of creating the most comfortable jeans possible. We thought there was a need for a great pair of comfortable jeans that didn't cost hundreds of dollars, but gave that wonderful feeling that these jeans just fit! Even the first time you put them on. We believe we have succeeded. It's been a long journey, searching the market around the world to find the absolute highest quality fabric, buttons and zippers and the absolute best manufacturer.
When quality and price come together
Today, we source our denim fabric from Italy, just outside Milan, home to one of the world's best denim manufacturers. The fabric for our jeans is made from some of the finest cotton, but is also infused with the sustainable and comfortable material called Lyocell. In addition to this, elastic fibers are added, which are specially designed to provide extra stretch. The elastic fibers also mean that despite the extra stretch, the pants keep the fit as they should.
Once the fabric is ready, it is shipped to Portugal, where some of the best specialists in denim jeans and trousers make our jeans.
Of course, the fact that the two most important elements of making good jeans for us take place in Italy and Portugal, which are both known for their very high quality, is not the cheapest. Despite this, we can still price our jeans very fairly. We have cut out the costly middleman that is having a physical store. Therefore, in order to offer you the highest quality at the best price, we only sell online.

The history of jeans
The history of jeans is long and filled with a lot of amazing stories about how hard work, entrepreneurship and the goal of freedom have become the most worn garment in the world.
Jeans are made from the fabric commonly known as Denim. The term originated in France when French clothing manufacturers from the city of Nimes tried to imitate a fabric from the Italian city of Genoa. This fabric was said to come from Nimes - or as they would say in French "de Nimes". Two words that quickly became denim.
However, many would give Levi Strauss credit for making jeans the garment we know and love today. It was the demand from miners in particular that led Levi Strauss to patent his denim jeans in 1873. At the time, Levi Strauss jeans were characterized by having rivets in the pants, which made them more durable and thus better for miners to work in. On top of that, denim fabric is a very durable material, so the result of producing jeans made of denim fabric with rivets? A pair of jeans you can hardly wear out.
Since miners started using jeans as workwear in the late 1800s, denim jeans have become a bigger and bigger fashion phenomenon as the years have gone by. Especially important to the success of denim jeans is the 1950s, when rebellious icons like Marlon Brando and James Dean began to popularize them among the general population.
Since then, rock stars and models of all decades have also helped jeans maintain their status. Despite all this, jeans still manage to be for the average person. That a piece of clothing is for both the rock star and the factory worker can be said of very few garments.
